Workgroup Technology Partners develops individualized technology solutions to help medium to large businesses improve operations and boost efficiency. The company operates two divisions: WGTech offers managed IT services and Insurance Automation Group develops software for the insurance industry.
Michael Eaton is President and CEO of Workgroup Technology Partners, the parent company for Insurance Automation Group and WGTECH. In his role, Mike is responsible for setting overall Corporate direction, strategic planning as well as governance, risk management and internal operations. Mike joined the Workgroup team in 2016 after spending nearly 20 years in a number of IT management and IT executive level roles in large enterprise organizations. In those roles, Mike was responsible for all aspects of IT policy, strategy, budgeting, managing IT infrastructure technology, and application development.
Mike holds a BS in Computer Science at University of Maine, Orono and is a graduate of the Stone & Webster Executive Management Program.
Mike and his wife Torry live in Western Maine. Mike loves to be outdoors, regularly playing basketball and golf as well as supporting several local charitable organizations.
In his role as VP/CTO and partner, Bill McKeen is responsible for driving Workgroup’s growth strategy through product line selection, services development and innovation. He is also responsible for setting the goals and direction of the sales, professional services and support teams, and is intricately involved
in managing execution of the company’s overall business strategy.
Since joining Workgroup in 1997, Bill has utilized his broad technical skills to design, implement, and manage multi-disciplinary solutions of all sizes and complexities. He learned customer service early in his career, and those lessons are now ingrained in the company philosophy. Since becoming a Partner and VP in 1999, Bill has developed his entrepreneurial and business skills as he worked to build a top performing team of salespeople, engineers and technicians who can handle virtually any IT-related project. He was also instrumental in building the company’s Managed Services practice area before it was popular. That business line has developed into the company’s fastest growing practice, which has expanded to include several cloud offerings.
Prior to joining Workgroup, Bill developed and refined his customer service, technology, and structured engineering skills at a combination of small, medium and large organizations. He’s proven his ability to succeed as an individual contributor, manager and executive.
Bill holds a BSEE from the University of Maine, along with several technical certifications.
Dan is Vice President of Workgroup Technology Partners and now leads the software development and support division Insurance Automation Group. Dan has been with the company since inception and is actually the original author of the two insurance software products, iAutomate – Surety and iAutomate – Recovery, that were built over 20 years ago and are now being sold and maintained throughout both the U.S. and Canada.
Dan has had a career in information technology since 1982. Prior to working for Workgroup Technology Partners, he lead large IT technology teams and initiatives for companies such as Bath Iron Works, BCBS of Maine, Benefits Management of Maine and Whitesmiths, Ltd.
Dan loves to spend all his spare time fishing. He also enjoys golf having begun the sport just a few years ago.
